The increasing urbanization of modern society grows out of scale causes more damage on people life quality with no exception in both poor and developed countries. High demand for housing and jobs lead to unemployment, financial crisis, lack of greenery, and resident dissatisfaction.
While escalates a high concentration of people geographically, the rapid urbanization ironically decreases their social connection. Consider that in place of density our dependence on one another for support would be strengthened; today, however, whenever possible, we tend to rely on machines and services. A desire of individualism demands the least possible direct dependence on others, consequently developed a society in which people find it harder and harder to show on another basic affection. In place of the sense of community and belonging, which we find such a reassuring feature of less wealthy societies, we subconsciously find a high degree of loneliness and alienation.
Symbiosis defines a cooperative relationship. The project proposes a close-knit connected community on both physical and social level. By sharing kitchen and dining space, the project allows people in the same neighborhood to stay connected while solving the financial cost of space and living expense.
Within the new symbiosis community, there is a common kitchen and dining unit for a group of eight peoples, approximately four families of two , to share. Each micro house is exact 460 sq. ft. for a family of two with three plugs-in units of one bedroom, one bathroom and living space, and a garden on the top level. The house is customizable base on need and the growth of occupancy.
